There are a few options when hunting Deer with Penobscot Guide Service. The most common deer hunt is our combination Maine state/Indian land hunt, where a hunter receives a Maine buck tag and an Any Deer permit for Penobscot Nation lands. Our deer camp has both private state and Indian lands, allowing ample space, and less pressure than most outfitters in Maine. That’s right, hunters can harvest 2 deer! We also offer a late season muzzleloader hunt in Dec, in hopes of a good snow pack. Most of our hunting is done from stands over active deer sign, but we will still hunt and track when conditions allow us to. We provide meals, lodging, transportation to and from stand, and a 1 on1 or 1 on 2 Guide to hunter ratio. We always hunt areas with mature buck sign and always have multiple cameras covering hot deer activity. We strive to give the hunter the best opportunity to take a buck, and we have over 125,000 acres of private land to hunt. We only take a maximum of 4 deer hunters per week, to ensure all hunters have an equal chance of taking a whitetail, or in some cases two. This also ensures that we don’t over pressure our deer, and stand locations. So call today and reserve your spots!
