Every summer we find ourselves on the Penobscot River, paddling, swimming, camping, and FISHING. The river is the home of the Penobscot Indians. We have paddled from Medway to Old Town, and every tributary in between. Its the intimate knowledge of this river that has been kept in our family, and every Penobscot family, for generations.
We look forward to the 2014 Fishing Season with the abundance of smallmouth bass and the introduction of Northern Pike in the Penobscot River. We are also looking forward to the changes in the Penobscot River with the removal of the Great Works and Veazie dams, possible salmon and stripers making their way north.
The Penobscot Indian Nation owns the islands in the river and on these islands; we make shore lunches, camp sites, swimming holes, and temporary shelter from passing thunder storms. We have lots of eagles on the river and it's not uncommon to see an eagle fishing himself! Call us now for a summer experience you won't forget!
