There are a few options when hunting Moose with Penobscot Guide Service. The most common Moose hunt is our Penobscot Indian Nation Moose auction for Penobscot Nation lands. This permit is good for 125,000 acres of private land, and only 5 permits will be auctioned per season. The other way is to apply for the Maine State Moose Lottery, and draw a permit through them. We will guide the State of Maine hunts in just about any zone, and we will set up tent camps if that’s what it takes to get the Moose for the client. Our preferred method of travel for the Moose Hunt is canoe or boat, as these places are the moose’ natural habitat. We leave the road hunting for the other outfitters. Please feel free to call with any questions about the hunts! We provide meals, lodging, transportation to and from stand, and a 1 on1 or 1 on 2 Guide to hunter ratio. We always hunt areas with mature bull sign and always have multiple spots covering hot moose activity. We strive to give the hunter the best opportunity to take a bull, and we have over 125,000 acres of private land to hunt. We only take a maximum of 4 Moose hunters per week, to ensure all hunters have an equal chance of taking a Bull. This also ensures that we don’t over pressure our moose, and hunting locations. So call today and reserve your spots!
